DESCRIPTION
This work presents a concise articulation of Kemper’s corporate identity alongside its extension into Kemper Lakes, a branded physical environment. The composition is structured as two adjoining fields: the left panel, in deep blue, carries the Kemper wordmark—geometric, stable, and authoritative—while the right panel introduces Kemper Lakes through a lighter blue register. Here, the identity expands into a place-based expression, incorporating a stylized sun, waterline, and bird in motion. The transition from solid field to graphic landscape signals a deliberate shift from institution to experience, while maintaining visual coherence through color and proportion.
The pairing reflects Ottinetti’s disciplined approach to identity systems, where a brand is not confined to a mark but extends across contexts with controlled variation. The Kemper mark anchors the composition with clarity and permanence; the Kemper Lakes panel introduces narrative and atmosphere without abandoning structural order. The result is a measured balance between modernist restraint and expressive adaptation—demonstrating how corporate identity can evolve into environmental branding while preserving its underlying logic.
