DESCRIPTION
This mark defines the beginning of Ottinetti’s work at Kemper and establishes the foundation of the company’s corporate identity system. The Kemper wordmark is contained within a solid blue square, conveying stability and authority, while an adjacent outlined square introduces the designation Group. The pairing forms a modular structure—extending the core identity through a simple, repeatable device rather than through redesign.
The composition is defined by clarity and restraint. The contrast between filled and outlined forms creates hierarchy without ornament, signaling the expansion of Kemper from a single entity to a broader corporate organization. The design reflects a disciplined European modernist sensibility, expressed through proportion, alignment, and typographic control. Rather than a variation, the mark functions as a structural solution—an initial articulation of identity as a system, from which the Kemper visual program develops.
